‘Tis the Season
Festival was on hand at a local soup kitchen this past Friday as we did our part to give back to those in need.
Rob, Cindy, Lea Ann and Ken spent their Friday night at the Salvation Army soup kitchen handing out hot soup and over 40 granola bars to folks coming in from the cold.
During the holiday season and throughout the year we do our best at Festival to support local charities and non-profit organizations.
It’s important that all of us remember those less fortunate and do what we can to give back.

Corn Fest & Art by the River 2011
Another busy weekend has come and gone as our Festival crews pack up and move out of the 2011 Tecumseh Corn Festival, and Amherstburg’s Art by the River.
With remarkable weather, both events were jam packed! The Corn Fest welcomed Our Lady Peace, hosted by 89X’s Dave Hunter, in addition to all of their usual festivities. We setup our largest tent of the season thus far, with a grand 60 x 220 beer tent erected for the Knights of Columbus. Of course we also provided our “usual” vendor tents and portable washrooms, standard to most Festivals these days. As always, the Corn Fest rocked the house, and we were proud to be a part of it!
Attendees at Art by the River surely welcomed the sunshine and mild temperatures as the annual event went off without a hitch! Art by the River is much adored and has become a tradition for many people. With a series of our 20’ wide, 30’ wide and smaller 10x10 and 15x15 tents setup for the vendors, Fort Malden National Historic Site comes to life with art, food and culture certain to delight. Congratulations to Sue and her team for another fantastic year!
Rockin the Ribfest!
Windsor followed suit this weekend and played host to a deliciously popular Rib Festival! With Ribfests organized by local Rotaries already taking place this year in Chatham and Amherstburg, it seemed only fitting that Windsor should have one too!
At Festival we were more then happy to welcome Family Shows into our long list of “large event” customers and took great pride in setting up our 35x40 hex tents, tables, chairs and portable washrooms, for what turned out to be a great party. With vendors such as Smoke & Spice, Tai Palace and Natalie’s Unique gifts setup under our 10x10 and 20x20 tents there was something for everyone. Finger lickin’ BBQ, a boppin’ carnival for the kiddies and entertainment certain to delight all worked together to create another awesome local event!
August in Full Swing!
Both Festival Corunna and Festival Windsor were keeping extra busy this past weekend with a great number of weddings, celebrations and Festivals on our to do list!
Below are some awesome photos of the setup in Sarnia for this year’s Off Shore Boat Races. We’re so excited to be a part of such an awesome event as we become better acquainted with the Sarnia and Lambton County community. What a great showcase for our spectacular tents and superb Festival team!
Beautiful Pelee Island hosted their annual Pelee Fest, and once again we were on site setting up a gorgeous 60 x 100 refreshment tent as well as a few smaller tents, as depicted in the pictures below. Festival portajohns and inflatable bouncers also made their way to the island with our setup crews to create a remarkable event for all those people lucky enough to enjoy this event. With Pelee Island Winery offering wine tastings, fabulous entertainment on hand to set the mood, and bouncing castles and play areas for the kids, a great time was had by all! At Festival we feel so lucky to be a part of highlighting what an awesome local gem Pelee Island really is!
Here on the mainland, The Windsor Pride Festival rocked Windsor’s riverfront and downtown area! Complete with vendors setup under our 20x30 tent, a large 60x90 beverage tent, portable washrooms, tables and chairs all on site, as well as a remarkable parade, organizers should be excited about another successful year! Cheers to David Lenz and his team! We look forward to next year!
Heat Wave Has Us Singin’ The Blues!
With temperatures hovering in the 90s this weekend, Bluesfest organizers welcomed diehards willing to brave the crazy heat to take in the sights and sounds of their annual party!
Our Festival crews battled the scorching sun to setup what has become an awesome event showcasing the trendy “world of blues“. With swanky sounds and soulful treats, and of course a series of Festival tents to shade folks from the blazing sun, The International Bluesfest was a success once again. Performers like Tim Robbins and Scott Holt ensured that a funky fun time was had by all! Cheers to Ted, Louise and their team! Take a look at the fantastic picture taken this weekend!
Another one of our regular events, The Belle River Sunsplash, also took place this past weekend in the sweltering heat. Complete with portable washrooms, a large 40’ wide tent and one of our spectacular 35’ x 40’ hex tents setup atop a stage, our Festival team provided the Belle River BIA with a superb setup. Congrats to Janel and her fellow organizers on another successful year! Check out the photo below!

Sizzlin’ Summer Fun!
The sun was blazin’ this past weekend, as Festival Epicure returned to the newly re-designed Festival Plaza!
Rows of 10x10, 15x15 and 20x20 food and beverage tents lined the riverfront while a large beer & liquor tent adorned the centre of the awesome layout. Our grey vinyl folding chairs were setup theatre style in front of the fabulous new stage offering folks a comfy place to chill out and enjoy the sounds of Epicure. As always, our ever-popular stand up cocktail tables were on hand contributing to the casual yet sophisticated atmosphere.
Check out the pictures our Festival Team captured during setup! Be sure to have a look at those taken throughout the weekend as well. Way to go Ken Brandes - cheers to you and your team on another job well done!

Another annual summertime party, also on our schedule this past weekend, was the Essex Fun Fest. People braved the scorching heat to make their way to Essex to take part in the festivities. Our tent and portajohn crews worked very hard to provide both the Town of Essex and all of those attendees an awesome setup for which to enjoy!
Hopefully you made it out to one or both of these fantastic local events!

The Parties Keep Comin’!
It was another jam packed weekend for our Festival Tent & Party Rentals crews with an array of weddings, backyard parties, festivals and celebrations for which to prepare!
This weekend brought with it the annual Greek Festival, a celebration of Greek food, culture and tradition. Our large band shell setup over our portable staging provided entertainers with an area ideal for all performances. Our 40x120 tent, as well as a number of our “smaller” tents served as shelter for food and drink areas as well as a variety of vendor setups. As always, the Greek Festival brought in great crowds of people anxious to relax and enjoy themselves.
Also on the agenda this weekend was the St. Jean Baptiste Festival at Place Concorde, located on Forest Glade Drive in Windsor. Our Festival Team erected an impressive 60x150 tent to accommodate attendees. Complete with tables, chairs and dance floor the folks at Place Concorde welcomed hundreds to share in their celebration. The rain held out and an awesome time was had by all!
As removal crews tore down tents all over Windsor and Essex County Monday, separate delivery crews worked hard to get thousands of chairs downtown for this year’s Fireworks display. With deliveries of not only chairs, but tents and portable washrooms throughout the downtown area as well, Festival helped clients like Caesars Windsor, CBC and The Windsor Star get setup and ready for the big show!
With another busy June weekend behind us, we take a minute to reflect on what an honour it is to be a part of such awesome events, and gear up for next weekend and all of the excitement it will surely bring!
Summer Season in Full Swing!
Busy, busy, busy! Our Festival Team is working overtime these days to keep up with the demand for our tents, tables, chairs, portable washrooms and awesome inflatables!
The Polish Village held their yearly festivities this past weekend, June17th, 18th and 19th as crowds were met with traditional Polish food, music and entertainment. The ever popular perogies were especially delicious! With our tents, tables and chairs on site, as well as a bouncing castle for the kiddies, our friends at the Polish Village pulled off another awesome event!
For the second weekend in a row, Apostolic Christian Church on Howard Ave in Windsor made use of our tents, tables and chairs. Last weekend we setup one of our large 40x80 tents, while this weekend we brought out our 50x60. We look forward to working with the folks at Apostolic Christian Church each year as they gather with their parish to celebrate their faith.
A 60x100 tent package, complete with tables, chairs and tent lighting, was also erected by our Festival crews for a wedding at the beautiful Muscedere Vineyards in Harrow this Father‘s Day weekend. At Festival we are experts in the outdoor wedding industry, yet the anticipation and excitement surrounding a wedding setup will never grow old. There is something special about helping couples plan and execute the most important day of their lives. Congratulations to the happy couple and cheers to Muscedere Vineyards for another successful wedding celebration! Check out the pictures here >> Muscedere Vineyards - Wedding in the Vineyard ...they're beautiful!!
The University of Windsor and St. Clair College held their convocations this past weekend. Festival was on hand with thousands of chairs to offer attendees a comfortable place to sit. Congratulations and best wishes to all graduates!
Jobin Field Bash & St. David’s Picnic
At Festival Tent, we’re very proud to offer our many non-profit customers a discounted rate on all of our rental items! This past weekend, June 10th, 11th and 12th, we had the opportunity to help a couple of clients in particular in their fundraising and celebratory efforts.
Jobin Rock Farm’s annual Field Bash went down this weekend and as always we were there. With our large 30x60 band shell setup to shelter the bands that put on an awesome show, a huge 60x130 beer tent, 40 x 80 tent, and a number of smaller 20x20 frame style tents, the fundraiser benefiting the Windsor Firefighters Association was a great success. Congrats to Phil Jobin and his team! Check out the photos below!
One of the many churches that rent from Festival celebrated this past weekend as well with their annual picnic. The folks from St. David’s Church in Windsor, gathered at the home of one of their fellow members to relax, enjoy a BBQ and the beautiful weather. They took advantage of our 20x20 frame tent, perfect for backyard parties, to take some shelter from the sun. Also on hand was our 15x15 bouncing castle, ideal for entertaining the kids! A great time was had by all and the proof is in the pictures!
Art in the Park 2011
Windsor Rotary 1918 is reporting record setting attendance as their Art in the Park at Willistead Manor saw nothing but sunshine and crowds this past weekend. Folks flocked by the hundreds to enjoy a summertime weekend, that for many has become an annual tradition! With rows of 10 x 10, 10 x 20 and 15 x 15 Festival Tents setup throughout the Willistead grounds, attendees enjoyed all the art, food and music that the vendors had to offer. From pottery to home made sauces, to paintings and woodworking, there was something for everyone. One of the more recent additions to Art in the Park in the past two years or so has been the kid’s play area setup by High Jinks Playground Inc. This year we were excited to supply some of our fun inflatables such as our Giant Slide, for the children to enjoy.
Art in the Park never disappoints and the 2011 show proved no different!
Take a look at our guys hard at work, setting up a series of vendor tents in the photos below!

Great Canadian Beaverfest A Rockin Good Time!
With over 3000 people in attendance on just the first night, Windsor’s first ever Beaverfest proved to be an awesome event! With a number of Canadian bands on the ticket such as Ashes of Soma, Default and Finger Eleven, The Great Canadian Beaverfest rocked downtown Windsor all weekend long. As always, our Festival team worked long hours to get the large beer tent setup, as well as a number of vendor tents, tables, chairs and propane BBQs. As with most of the great downtown Festival’s of which we are proud suppliers, we also lined the riverfront with some extra portable washrooms and hand wash stations to help keep the party rollin’.
Congrats to Dave Hunter, Chris Mickle and all of the Beaverfest organizers and staff on a spectacular showcase of Canadian musical talent and a superb addition to Windsor’s existing downtown Festivals! What a smashing way to kick of summer!
Tis the Season!
The sun is finally shining and the mercury is rising - tent season has arrived!
The Rock N Horse Fest kept our crews busy last weekend with portajohn rentals. As well, the Special Olympics chose Festival once again to be their rental supplier for what turned out to be a great day for all those involved!
This week we are gearing up for what has quickly become one of our busiest weekends of the year! With huge events such as Art in the Park, and the first annual Beaverfest scheduled for setup, our Festival Tent team is excited to show exactly what we are made of! This is the time of year that we look forward to - when we can load up our trucks, hit the road, and exceed the expectations of our customers with the kind of product and service standard at Festival Tent & Party Rentals!
Hopefully everyone is able to make it out to one or both events this weekend - June 3rd, 4th and 5th!
Festival Rocks The Vote!
Hopefully everyone made it out to vote yesterday as Election 2011 came to a close!
As candidates spent their last few days trying to reel in all those “undecided” voters, our crews spent hours setting up tables and chairs all over the city for the various poll stations.
With over 400 tables and chairs, spread among 35-40 separate drop off locations, our delivery crews worked hard to get the stations prepared for eager voters.
History was made last night around the country and we are proud to have been a part of one of the things that makes Canada such a great place to live.
As Conservatives bask in their majority government, our guys will spend their day cleaning up the remnants of democracy in action!
Did you take the time to rock your vote?
April Showers Bring Festival Tents!
The rain and high winds didn’t deter our Festival Team this past weekend, with events in both Chatham and Windsor!
Crews traveled to Chatham to setup tents for the annual Festival of Giving on Thursday afternoon. While here in Windsor, Sunday brought our annual MS Society Walkathon setup. With a number of tents installed along the walk, including our 15 x 15 and 20 x 30 promotional tents offered to charitable and non-profit groups such as the MS Society, the yearly fundraiser was once again incredibly successful. Determined walkers braved the elements intent on continuing what has become a tradition for so many people touched by the debilitating disease. Rain or shine, Jackie Putterman of the MS Society, works very hard to put on a great event to raise both money and awareness. The weather didn’t hinder the spirit of Jackie or the walkathon participants, and neither did it hinder our ability to provide awesome service and products!
Congratulations to Jackie and the MS Society on another great walk!
“Festival Corunna” Gets A Warm Welcome!
If you didn’t make your way to our new Corunna store this weekend, you missed a great party!
With over 200 people in attendance, the Sarnia town welcomed our Festival Tent family with open arms! Folks came from all around to bounce in our Race Car inflatable and sample some cotton candy and slushies made from our machines. Corunna general manager Matt Illman displayed one of our bbq’s as he grilled up some hot dogs for what proved to be a tremendously successful day!
Point Pelee Karting’s Greg Howe was on hand with a great Go Kart display for the kids, while DJ Eve Morgan with local radio station 99.9 The Fox broadcasted live. Lynn Reed with The Pampered Chef joined our team in a booth of her own, preparing onions and other treats for lunch with some of her many Pampered Chef products.
Much to our surprise and excitement, St. Clair Township Warden, Steve Arnold, even stopped in for a visit!
Special thanks to everyone that came to support our newest endeavour, and to those that couldn’t make it, we look forward to seeing you soon as we gear up for what is sure to be our best season yet!
"Festival Corunna” Opening It’s Doors!
Spring has sprung marking the beginning of a fresh new season for our team at Festival Tent & Party Rentals!
2011 is bringing with it some great things for all of our clients both existing and new! Most exciting is the Grand Opening of our second store scheduled for this Saturday April 9th! We anticipate a great celebration of our increased efforts to serve our customers with experience, expertise and a satisfaction guarantee as we have at our Windsor location since 1987!
A bbq is planned complete with a bouncing castle for the kids, slushies, raffles, prizes and more. “We are pumped!” says Monica Illman, Festival Corunna office manager. The next time you’re in Sarnia, be sure to swing by and check out our new digs, located at 615 St. Clair Pkwy in Corunna. Better yet, take the short drive to share in our Grand Opening this Saturday!
Here we grow again!
Air Show Hits the Skies!
If you were anywhere near the Windsor Airport August 21st and 22nd, you surely would have seen or at least heard the mind blowing planes, jets and gliders that graced the skies that weekend.
The Windsor International Air Show welcomed spectators for their annual event. Attendees were treated to some amazing sights and sounds between the military aircrafts on site and open to walk through, our inflatable obstacle course and giant slide for the children to enjoy, and the wide selection of airplanes that performed. A number of tents were setup to house the food area, the VIP section as well as various vendors.
While the rain put a bit of a damper on the show Saturday, Sunday was most definitely a show certain not to disappoint!
Birthdays, Weddings & Charity Events
Not only have we been occupied with the major Festivals going on around town, but we have also been quite busy supplying tents and other rental items to our “backyard” and wedding customers.
While some of our staff was busy setting up for the Leamington Tomato Festival and the Amherstburg Rotary Ribfest on the August 21st weekend, we had other setup crews working their magic for a wedding of 250 at the Heritage Museum in Kingsville. Our 60 x 100 wedding tent was erected complete with flooring, dancefloor, banquet tables and chairs, portable bars, dishware and head table. Our tent withstood the rain to make for an amazing evening. Check out some photos below.
While some crews prepared for the Art by the River and Tecumseh Corn Fest on the August 28th weekend, others setup tents for a Breast Cancer Fundraiser that took place in Amherstburg. Attendees at the fundraiser shaded themselves from the sun under our 20 x 30 frame style tent, while sipping on some delicious frozen drinks courtesy of our slushie machine. Also on hand were our often popular sumo suits.
Included with the wedding photos below are photos of one of the birthday parties we supplied August 28th. Partygoers also enjoyed themselves below on of our 20 x 30 tents.
Festival Season
Tis the season for Festivals! Over the past couple of weekends, we have been very busy with some great events going on around Windsor and Essex County. August 21st weekend brought the Leamington Tomato Festival and the First Annual Amherstburg Rotary Ribfest. With our tents, tables and chairs on site, the Tomato Festival, relocated this year as a result of the recent tornado, seemed just as successful as previous years.
The Amherstburg Rotary made use of our portable washrooms, tables and chairs to aide in making the first event of its type for the town a great one at that. Local residents braved the rain on Saturday night to taste the great selection of ribs on hand. With Friday and Sunday also packed full, the Amherstburg Ribfest went down as even greater than anticipated!
Most recently, Art by the River in Amherstburg, and the Tecumseh Corn Festival kept our staff busy during the August 28th weekend.
The Tecumseh Corn Fest welcomed Theory of a Deadman, Josh Gracin as well as a number of other performers to the stage. Our large 60 x 220 tent served, once again, as the Festival’s beer tent, while other tents like our 40 x 140, 40 x 60 and a number of smaller tents served as homes for local wineries and vendors alike. Check out the photos below of the wine tent.
Art by the River welcomed blue skies and hundreds of attendees ready to scout out the spectacular selection of arts, crafts and tasty treats. As always, Art by the River organizers called on us to supply the vast array of tents and portable washrooms for their annual event.
Lord Stanley Cup Comes to Town!
Former Windsor resident and Chicago Blackhawks Coach, Joel Quenneville brought the Stanley Cup to the City earlier this month and guess who was called for all their Stanley Cup Party needs?
Under our large 60 x 90 tent, complete with tables, chairs, standup cocktail tables and elegant linen and tableskirting as well as portable washroom facilities, those lucky enough to have been invited to this exclusive party got up close and personal with the much adored Lord Stanley Cup!
Congratulations to Joel Quenneville and his Chicago Blackhawks!
Check out the photo below.
Another Fun Filled Weekend For Festival!
It was another crazy summer weekend for us at Festival with both the Windsor Pride Festival setup in the City and the Pelee Fest located on beautiful Pelee Island!
The annual Windsor Pride Festival filled downtown with some amazing sights and sounds, with celebrations, food, music and an amazing parade to cap off the weekend. As always, we supplied the Windsor Pride organizers with tents, tables, chairs and portable washrooms to accommodate attendees. With excellent weather and an amazing turn out, the Pride Festival was once again a great success!
Over on Pelee Island, our delivery crews spent the better part of a day setting up for what was to be a glorious celebration of food, wine, art and family at the annual Pelee Island Festival. With the weather on their side, guests were treated to a delicious display of life on the Island. Children enjoyed our Inflatable Obstacle Course, Castle Maze, Bungee Run, Giant Slide as well as our Bouncing Castle and Beanie the Balloon Typhoon, as you can see in the photos below. Also on site were our many tents, tables and chairs.
What a great weekend for both the city of Windsor and Pelee Island alike, and how thrilled we are to have been a part of it all!
Bluesfest
The soulful sounds of the annual Blues Festival filled the air in downtown Windsor this past weekend July 16th, 17th and 18th! With great music and good eats people rocked into the night. As always, the Bluesfest setup consisted of a number of our Festival Tents, tables, chairs and portable washrooms. Popular were our standup cocktail tables that give guests a place to gather and sit their drinks while they soak in their surroundings. It’s hard to sit down when the music is just so good!
Artists this year included Foghat, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes and Tab Benoit. Other performers on site included the always entertaining stilt walkers. Organizers always put on a superb show where folks are guaranteed to enjoy themselves! You really can’t go wrong with some fabulous music and delicious drinks and food sure to please the palate! A great night out for sure! Check out the photos below!
Essex Fun Fest
A parade, carnival games and rides were just a few of the things that you may have enjoyed if you attended the 2010 Essex Fun Fest this past weekend! Hundreds of people made their way through the Festival to partake in all of the great things that the annual event had to offer.
As always, we supplied the Town of Essex with the tents and portable washrooms helping to create the Festival that so many have grown to love. We erected our giant 60 x 150 tent for the always enjoyable beer tent. And what carnival is complete without a spectacular fireworks display to dazzle the crowd! Sunday night’s show didn’t disappoint! A perfect ending to another great summertime tradition!
International Paddle for a Cure
Once again, the annual Dragon Boat Festival was a monumental event in the world of breast cancer fundraising! Teams complete with appropriate names such as The WonderBroads, Tiny Temptations and Harley Hooters paddled through the waters with hopes of not only beating their competitors, but of raising money to beat a disease that plagues so many men and women. Organizers and teams alike made great use of Festival Tent’s many rental items. As you can see in the photos below, a tent city of sorts was erected at the Dragon Boat site to house teams and vendors.
A gala held under our large 60 x 210 tent kicked off the fundraiser in style. Stand up cocktail tables, folding chairs and banquet tables filled the tent for guests to gather and enjoy the food and entertainment that graced our Festival staging. Attendees stayed cool by way of our portable air cooling units.
Take a minute to enjoy our photos, and share your Dragon Boat experience!
A Huge Taste of Culture
The past two weekends were packed full of music, food and a huge taste of culture throughout the city! Within days of Red Bull tear down, Festival Tent moved in with a large number of tents, tables, chairs and portajohns to setup the annual Carrousel of Nations. Hundreds of people made their way through the different festivals sampling morsels of each culture.
At the Polish Village, children bounced in our Race Car Inflatable, while their parents enjoyed some perogies, cabbage rolls and some traditional Polish dancing. The Greek Festival also offered up some authentic food and music. Performers at the Greek Fest were sheltered under Festival’s band shell. The Caribbean Centre also shared some ethnic delights with their guests.
Were you able to make it to any of the Festivals this year? We would love to hear your stories!
