February is winding down, with March only days away! Can you believe it? March Break, the unofficial kickoff to Spring is just around the corner! While some of us will escape the last days of Winter with a sun-filled vacation somewhere warm, many of us will hold down the fort here. If you’re planning a “staycation”, fear not because there is so much to do in Windsor & Essex County for March Break this year!
As always, the great folks at Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island have compiled a list of some of the fun ways to spend March Break here at home (http://visitwindsoressex.com/twepi_event/windsor-essex-march-break-guide-2018/). If you have a day or two, or perhaps the whole week off with your kids, take advantage of some of the exciting things being offered. Check out one of our awesome indoor gems like the Adventure Bay Family Waterpark (https://adventurebay.ca/Pages/home.aspx). See what your local community centre has scheduled for the kiddies.
An annual tradition this time of year is the March Maple Festival that takes place at John R Park Homestead (http://erca.org/jrph/). With activities being held all throughout the month, there is some extra family fun to be had over March Break. Celebrate the process of making maple syrup at the pioneers used to do. Sample some maple cotton candy. You can even try to get the yummy sweetness from the tree yourself! Enjoy some outdoor fun and learn something new all at the same time!
Whatever your interests, if you have time to spare this March Break be sure to explore this great place that we call home! Celebrate Windsor & Essex County!
